Spigot, Inc. Creates an Incubator to Work on New Products

At Spigot, Inc. we are always working on new initiatives and find new ways to make our business continue to grow. This past week (and probably for the next month), our developers, media buyers and analysts have hooked up their computers in one of our conference rooms and turned it into an incubator! Spigot, Inc. employees get the opportunity to collaborate, work hard and bounce ideas off one another to create our new product.

Calling all Developers! Spigot, Inc. Needs You!

Spigot, Inc. is currently hiring for over 14 positions and a bulk of them are for Developers! We are seeking, Front-End, Back-End AND Full-Stack Developers on a number of our teams to join our team due to our rapid growth! POSITION OVERVIEW

The Web Developer will be designing and maintaining browser extensions as well as web properties with a focus on increasing user acquisition and engagement. This individual will be expected to take ownership and create, test and deploy production-ready code and design. A complete understanding of web design and a desire to create an engaging user experience is a must. Primary duties include:

  1. Design: Focusing on graphic design for ads and landing pages or home pages
  2. Coding: Move your design to production using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  3. A/B Testing: Monitoring performance across multiple variations of a design to determine the top performer
  4. Optimization: Iterate to increase KPIs in each point of the conversion funnel
  5. Competitive Research: Proactively keeping up to date on industry trends

CANDIDATE OVERVIEW

The successful candidate will be a KPI focused, confident leader with at least:

  • 1-2 years’ development experience, with advanced knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript/jQuery
  • Experience coding in C# is a plus
  • Experience conducting and monitoring A/B testing and conversion rate optimization
  • Basic knowledge of SQL a plus
  • Understanding of and/or experience with Amazon Web Services is helpful

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following abilities:

Another Spigot, Inc. Renovation Perk: Cold Brew Keg!

After the renovation – Spigot, Inc. got a ton more perks and now we just added another: Segafredo Nitro Cold brew coffee! Yes – we already have a coffee machine in the office that serves hot Starbucks coffee, but why not add nitro cold brew into the mix?! Cold brew is made with cold water, is less acidic, less bitter (more delicious) and typically more expensive than your average cup of iced coffee, but here it’s free! ALSO – if you’re not into coffee, Spigot inc. has a full fridge of beverages, ranging from (almost) every flavor of La Croix, Coke products, Pepsi Products and Beer!

Alert: Spigot, Inc. Goes Clay Shooting!

Spigot, Inc. has had a ton of visitors in town lately – and it’s the perfect opportunity for team building events. Last week we had visitors from our Sister company in Grand Cayman, our Accounting Team in Kansas City, and some of our team in Romania! Spigot, Inc. and our parent company, Genimous Technologies, have employees all over the globe so it’s extremely important for us to mingle and get to know each other better when they are in town!

The most recent team building events this week was clay shooting! The Spigot, Inc. Accounting and Affiliate teams headed out to the everglades yesterday and crushed the game at Gulf Coast Clays. Everyone had a blast and they thought it was really cool to see how many sharp shooters there really were on their teams! We definitely plan on bringing more of our teams there and heading back in the future!

Position Overview

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for completing profit-driven analysis to provide recommendations on how to increase profits and efficiency on all aspects of the business as necessary; especially those related to product performance. This person is able to present ideas in the morning, implement them in the afternoon and later check the performance of their idea via data analysis. Primary duties include:

    1. Ad-hoc queries using MSSQL Server and other RDBMS
    2. Data manipulation and presentation in Excel
    3. Tracking and analysis of Key Performance Indicators such as profit, user value, click through & conversion rates, traffic volumes, etc.
    4. Development and execution of new reports (trends, opportunities, etc.) to boost the business intelligence of the team.

Performing market place intelligence and refining information into actionable recommendations to Product Development team members.

The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader with at least:

    • Practical experience with Excel (pivot tables, vlookup, etc)
    • Proficiency in SQL (select/from/where clauses, etc)

The successful candidate will also demonstrate the following abilities:

    • Independent Decision Making: Uses intelligence, analysis, consistent rationality and objectivity when making decisions; Anticipates consequences of judgments with the ability to work autonomously with little supervision and a high attention to detail and quality.
    • Energetic: The ability to find solutions and deliver results within a rapid, fast changing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven culture; Passion for technology and a positive, can-do attitude is a must.
    • Adaptability: Capable of adjusting to changing priorities, and possesses the ability to master new technologies in a short period of time.

    • Communication (written & oral): Must have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish, develop and maintain cross-functional business relationships, as well as have excellent presentation and problem-solving skills.

Spigot, Inc. Company Happy Hour at WOB

Spigot, Inc. has 13 people in town this week from our Romanian and Kansas City offices, so it only seemed fit to have a company wide happy hour at World of Beer in Gulf Coast. PLUS we have had a handful of new people start in the past few months – so it’s a great opportunity for them to mingle and get to know the team. We are located right across the street from Gulf Coast Town Center so we left work early and headed over there for the afternoon. Spigot, Inc. employees got to enjoy Jenga, Corn Hole, What Do You Meme, Ping Pong  and 3 teams stayed late for trivia! Even though we didn’t win this time, we still had a great time and everyone came up with creative team names!

Another Team Building Event with our Romanian Team!

Spigot, Inc. not only has a large office in Fort Myers, but we have an office in Bucharest, Romania with over 25 employees! A huge perk of working for Spigot is the opportunity for travel and this week a part of our  Romanian Team traveled to FL to work out of our Fort Myers office. We have a whole bunch of fun stuff planned for them (Trivia tonight, bowling tomorrow!) and today they got to get out of the office and go to a team lunch at Olive Garden.

Team building is extremely important and a large part of our success here at Spigot, Inc. Our parent company is based out of China and they have companies all over the globe we work side by side with – so it’s really important for us to travel and develop relationships with everyone in the other offices; as well as in our Fort Myers office.

Spigot, Inc. Plays Super Smash in New Game Area!

Spigot, Inc. has a ton of games in the office and since the renovation we got two Nintendo Switches and an entire living room area so Spigot, Inc. employees don’t have to play games at their desk anymore (if they don’t want to!). Super Smash Brothers allows up to 8 players at the same time and sometimes we max it out!

At Spigot, Inc. we believe that breaks are necessary and getting stuck on a problem hinders production. Everyday Spigot, Inc. employees take breaks from their desk by playing a number of games or just stepping out of the office to get some fresh air!

Product Analysts, Web Developers, Software Engineers AND Media Buyers Needed at Spigot, Inc.!

Spigot, Inc. is growing, and as we grow we are looking to add more members to all of our teams! Media Buyer:

The Media Buyer’s main goal is to grow app installs through search, display and native advertising on Google AdWords, Bing Ads, and/or other networks as necessary. Primary duties include:

  1. Campaign Management: Develop, deploy, and optimize search and display campaigns which drive traffic to our proprietary application portals.
  2. Research & Analysis: Conduct market/competitor research to be leveraged in the execution of campaigns; Analyze conversion data, identify trends, and optimize campaigns to meet agreed upon CPA targets and ROI goals.
  3. Testing: Aggressively A/B test ad copy to maximize CTR.
  4. Business Development: Independently identify and present new campaign opportunities to appropriate stakeholders.

Software Engineer:

The person is an experienced Software Engineer that will create, maintain and scale out both new and existing high-volume web applications.  Specific duties include:

  1. Developing, analyzing, troubleshooting high volume web systems with backend SQL Server, Linux and Windows database administration
  2. Building, maintaining and optimizing back-end platforms
  3. Software Development, coding applications using .Net, Python, C#, HTML, CSS or Javascript
  4. Architect and develop new solutions and enhance current systems based on market changes and opportunities
  5. Refactor, update, and revitalize codebases as advances in technology allow for more capabilities
  6. Troubleshoot and fix system failures and system performance, especially as systems scale

The successful candidate will be an inspiring and confident leader with at least:

  • 5 years of experience in software development
  • Experience developing high volume web systems with backend SQL Server databases
  • Strong knowledge of .NET, Python & C#
  • Experience with HTML, CSS & JavaScript
  • An eye for usability
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
