Spigot, Inc. And Eightpoint Team Outing!

This past weekend, Spigot, Inc. got the amazing chance to visit it’s sister company EightPoint in Cayman Islands. Yesterday the Spigot, Inc. team AND EightPoint Technologies along with Polarity went on a Caymanian snorkeling adventure to Rum Point and Stingray City. Eightpoint chartered a 38 foot sport fish boat from Crystal Charters and they took us to all the best places! We even got to jump off the top of the boat and ride on the bow. After our outing the boat dropped us off in Camana Bay and we stuffed our faces with pizzas from The Brooklyn.

Spigot, Inc. employees are so fortunate to work for a company that values their employees happiness and promotes fun (and crazy) team building events. There are tons of perks working for Spigot, Inc. but the opportunity to travel, visit our sister companies and participate in team events is by far one of the best.

If you are interested in working with a GROWING team with a great culture, we would love to speak with you! Send your resume and cover letter to careers@spigot.com for review! Check out all of our adventures on the Spigot Inc blog.

Facebook Engagement Sliding In The US?!

Facebook has been around for over a decade now and it seems as though everyone and their grandmothers have an active Facebook account. However, it seems this past year, according to Pivot analyst Brian Wieser. Consumption across all of Facebook-owned properties declined 7% year-over-year (YoY) in September, according to his calculations. The data also discovered that Facebook’s overall share of online consumption dropped from 16.5% in September of 2017 to 14.3% of this year. Even with this decline, Facebook’s portfolio is the second-most frequented on the web behind Google at 32.5%. But what could be causing such a steady decline in Facebook use?

The first reason concluded from Pivotal’s analysis is that although the same amount of people are logging in daily, their user time in becoming much shorter and shorter. There seems to be an overall plain boredem with Facebook. Why go to Facebook when you have other more seemingly entertaining apps like Instagram? In its dawn, Facebook was intended for user connectivity, but that has slowly morphed into a media consumption engine littered with click bait. Facebook intended to go back to it’s original roots which means reducing the amount of addicting time-wasters that flood the home page for the sake of user well-being. To get all the latest tech news AND keep up on what we are doing at Spigot, Inc. be sure to follow our blog!

Bring Your Dog To Work Day Is Everyday At Spigot, Inc.

They come with you to bed, on long walks, to restaurant… why shouldn’t mans best friend come to work with you as well?! Well, at Spigot, Inc. this is just the case. As tenants of the Corrigan Station WeWork building, perks are seriously abundant. One of the best perks of working in this building is that they are 100% dog friendly! They even offer dog treats in the main lobby! All that’s needed to bring your furry friend to work is to fill out some easy paper work indicating your four-legged friend is up-to-date on shots and you’re good to go! It’s not recommended to bring your dog to work everyday (obviously) but it’s great to have that option in case you don’t have a dog-walker that day or if you just want to spread a little cheer to everyone around you (because who doesn’t LOVE DOGS?!) It’s a great conversation starter and is the best way to make people smile while they’re at work.

Spigot, Inc. is a great innovative modern company. If you’d like to change the way you work, we would love to nudge you in the right direction. It’s time to put your best paw forward! Spigot, Inc. Pays Chiefs Kingdom A Visit

This past NFL Sunday, the Kansas City Spigot, Inc. team along with several Fort Myers members got the chance to go to the Chiefs vs. Bengals game! There are a few things that Kansas Citians take very seriously and that is: Barbecue, art, and the Chiefs of course! The game was the perfect opportunity to catch up and spend necessary quality time with our fellow team members and show them the ways of the Midwest. Even though it was super cold and our Floridian team members aren’t used to cold weather, we still had an amazing time! The weather was 60 and sunny all day, perfect tail gate weather. What’s better than friends and NFL Sunday and the Chiefs? Nothing! We had amazing seats and got to witness 4 amazing touchdown passes by Patrick Mahomes and his amazing offense.

Here at Spigot, Inc. we are so lucky to do all kinds of fun team building activities like this. It’s so fun to go to each others’ cities and experience the others world for a few days. If you feel like you have the drive and passion to launch your career in a dynamic, entrepreneurial and fast paced culture, Spigot, Inc would like to hear from you. Spigot, Inc. Takes Over Cyprus

Who ever said business and fun don’t mix? Here at Spigot, Inc., we completely disagree! Some of our very own Spigot, Inc. employees were granted the opportunity to travel to some amazing places and see some amazing sights while working. It’s important for us to keep positive and strong relations with our fellow Spigot, Inc. team members in different countries. This not only allows for strong, positive relationships, it also allows us to really delve and immerse ourselves into different cultures, step outside our comfort zones and try new and exciting things.  This month, one of our very own traveled all the way to Cyprus and got to experience first-hand the breath-taking view of the Mediterranean, try different exotic food and drink, and explored various touristy spots like the beautiful beach of Farmagusta, where guests can take a dip in the Mediterranean or just sit back, relax and enjoy a cocktail. They also went to see the beautiful overlook at Aphrodite’s Rock. Team members also got to explore Bucharest, Romania as well.

Google’s Biggest Hardware Unveiling To Date

Google has had an extremely busy week with the unveiling of a plethora of new products. Those new products including their highly anticipated smartphone, the Pixel 3. In spite of the numerous attempted internet leaks surrounding the release of the Pixel 3, Google still managed to pull out a few tricks from their sleeves during the unveiling. Along with the Pixel 3, we also witnessed the release of the Chrome-OS powered tablet (aka the Pixel Slate), and a new google Home with a screen called the Home Hub. Rick Osterloh, the vice president of Google hardware, said the combination of hardware, software, and artificial intelligence is the key to giving people a more personal, helpful experience.

All these new groundbreaking hardware releases from Google are truly a milestone for their company.  For more awesome industry news, be sure to check out our Spigot, Inc. blog and be sure to follow us on LinkedInTwitter and Instagram… like us on Facebook and never miss out on the Spigot Inc lifestyle & news!
