FGCU’s aspiring entrepreneurs got the opportunity to take a tour of Spigot, Inc. yesterday morning to listen to our VP of Emerging Businesses, Nick Jackson, speak about Spigot, Inc. He spoke to the FGCU students about Spigot, Inc.’s (and his own) wins and failures that led Spigot, Inc. to where we are today. He told the students that it takes drive, competitiveness and the willingness to fail fast to be successful. The class, led by Annie Stout – Instructor for Management and Entrepreneurship, also got the chance to talk about their business ideas, receive feedback and even do a mock interview with Spigot, Inc.’s Nicole Wilcox. Afterwards, students lined up in the break room to speak with Nick, share their ideas and find out more about opportunities with Spigot, Inc.
Professor Stout even invited Spigot, Inc. back to speak with their class in the future and said they would be back for another tour next year with a whole new class of Freshman. Spigot, Inc stays involved with FGCU Career Development Services, as they are a huge benefit for students who are preparing to launch their career. Spigot, Inc. President, Ryan Stephens, has also spoken to numerous classes at the college and this certainly will not be the last. Spigot, Inc. is very fortunate to have inspiring leaders that are willing to teach and inspire local students. Spigot, Inc also participates in career fairs hosted by FGCU, meeting students who are eager to become interns in a fast paced environment where they can learn onsite and possibly grow into a full time position.
