Spigot, Inc. Halloween Costume Contest Results are IN!

Last Friday, Spigot, Inc. threw a big Halloween bash for their employees and it was a blast! Of course everything has to be a competition, so everyone got an email early last week about the Spigot, Inc. costume contest and all the categories and (Really good) prizes. The categories were Best overall, Worst in show, Funniest and Most creative.  The Spigot, Inc. teams were encouraged to do group and individual costumes and it was a complete and total success. Spigot, Inc. employees are extremely creative, so the contest was hilarious and close. The costumes that came out on top though were The Little Mermaid as Best Overall, Internet Browsers as most creative (And Relevant!), Justin as a Golfer as worst in show and finally Celine dressed as Justin as a Golfer taking the funniest. Spigot, Inc. employees won airpods, Escape room gift certificates and Amazon gift certificates as prizes! Not only was there a costume contest that day, there was also a beer pong contest, syringe blood jello shots, brain shaped hummus and a ton of spooky decorations.

All-Time High Celebrations, Jet Ski Races, and a Beautiful Sunset Dinner? The Perfect Spigot, Inc. Mobile Team Outing!

Spigot, Inc. loves celebrating wins – and last week our Mobile Team hit an all-time high AND they had visitors in town from both Grand Cayman and Romania (Yes, we have an office in Romania!) – so this was a perfect time for a team outing.

The team busted out of the office early and took advantage of the beautiful Fort Myers beach, so their out of country guests could experience a true Florida experience. Jet ski races in front of the Lani Kai kicked off a really fun day – followed by an awesome dinner at Shuckers right on the beach (Feet in the sand!). The team was able to truly connect with one another, share stories, laugh, drink and (most importantly) eat lots of delicious seafood! The night ended with an iconic Southwest FL sunset. Everyone agreed, this was one of the best team outings yet!

If a company that values their employees hard work and celebrates wins is something appealing to you –  Spigot, Inc would like to speak with you. Send your resume and cover letter to careers@spigot.com for review! Check out all of our adventures on the Spigot Inc blog.

Spigot, Inc.’s, Ben Tucker, Speaks with FGCU Entrepreneurial Class

This morning one of FGCU’s Entrepreneurial classes came for a field trip at Spigot, Inc. and got the opportunity to listen to a few employees speak about their journey to their success and position in the company. Elina Terentyva began the conversation by telling them about her background in graphic design, branding and redesigning the company logo. Hands raised all around the room – students asked a bunch of great questions about graphic design and company rebranding. After Elina spoke – Ben Tucker, Manager of our Search Privacy Team spoke with the students about being successful and the mindset needed to reach their entrepreneurial and personal goals.

He spoke about his management style and how the employees he manages are not just colleagues, but we all take care of one another. We all work together to accomplish the same goals and have a team mind-set. He spoke about our bonuses at Spigot, Inc. and how they are all based on one goal – and as a team, we all have effect on that. This incentives us to help one another and to hire leaders. He told the students; when you are looking for a job – look for culture and ask yourself, “Will this position help be to become a leader?”

Ben taught the students about our start up mentality and keeping a small tenacious mindset. Instead of thinking I want to make a million dollars – instead say, “How do I make my first dollar?” and scale out from there. He talked about the hard stuff that most people don’t tell you, that there WILL be hardships, money loss and mistakes. He spoke from personal experience and told students about his mistakes along the way, and how much he learned from them. He advised students to always keep the mindset of, “how do I get to the next level?” and even after a set back – you’ll always bounce back.

Ben told the room that they can’t care about other people’s opinions because he had people that doubted him and it drove him to prove them wrong. He said, “remember it’s not the money you make, but it’s the experience it gave you.” He told them you have to ask yourself, “When is the right time to take a risk and trust yourself”  because if he hadn’t – he wouldn’t be where he is today.

In closing Ben encouraged the students to be a sponge, to learn as much as  they can and always keep the Spigot, Inc. mentality!

Overall, today was a great learning experience for everyone involved! The students came out of our conference room inspired. We are extremely grateful to have such caring leaders in our organization that challenge their employees, help them grow and have a team mindset. We are also grateful for our awesome relationship with FGCU and the opportunity we are given to partner with them and hire talented interns and graduates!

Spigot, Inc. Visits Rosy Tomorrow’s!

Spigot, Inc. employees are always going on some kind of adventure – and last week our Push Team got the opportunity to take a trip into North Fort Myers to Rosy Tomorrow’s heritage farm for lunch.  All of the food is served fresh straight from the animals and plants raised on the farm. Not only is their food delicious, but they pair it with the seasons so the crew got to experience all of their fall dishes, along with their amazing wines and desserts. Usually our team events include some type of competition and games, but this time it was a nice change of pace to just mingle outside with the team and enjoy the weather and animals (But don’t worry, everyone came back to the office and played a super competitive game of darts).

One of the best parts about working for Spigot, Inc. is the opportunity we have for collaboration and team building. We love celebrating small and big wins and just showing appreciation for all the hard work our employees put in. Team building trips, dinners, lunches and just fun in the office are a big part of our success. Of this culture is something you think you would be a good fit for, we would love to speak with you!

Spigot, Inc. Career Fair Was a Success!

Yesterday, Spigot, Inc. attended the FGCU Career Fair in the Cohen Center and it was a success. We met a ton of students that could be potential fits for our organization and will most likely receive an internship. We met students from all different colleges and different points in their lives. We had a ton of great conversations and gave out almost all of our swag! We just updated our logo – so we updated all of our giveaways and had a ton of stuff to give out, including drawstring backpacks, portable chargers, White Claw koozies, Red Bull (always) and phone wallets.

We love our relationship with FGGU and the opportunity we are given to recruit talented students from the university. Roughly 1 out of 4 Spigot, Inc. employees are FGCU Alumni and we just keep gaining more!

Spigot, Inc. Goes to Headpinz!

What a better way to start the week than with a happy hour on a Monday?! Spigot, Inc. left work and headed over to Headpinz for happy hour and some bowling! We rented out the entire VIP area, got a bunch of apps (a ton of chicken wings) and drinks and bowled for two hours. Of course, in Spigot, Inc. fashion, the game got super competitive and everyone bowled until the time was up.  After bowling – a few Spigot, Inc. employees played a game of lasertag and had a blast! We have had a handful of new employees in the Spigot, Inc. office and it was nice for everyone to get to mingle with all the new and old faces.
