Spigot, Inc. Mobile Team Gets Champagne Delivered to Their Doors for Hitting Goal!

spigot inc mobile goal celebrationSpigot, Inc.’s Mobile Team hit another milestone last week – and since the team can’t be together, everyone on the team was delivered their own bottle of Vueve Clicquot champagne  to celebrate this huge win! Spigot, Inc.’s mobile team hung onto the bottle until last Friday morning so everyone could celebrate together. Half of our mobile team is in Romania (which is an 8 hour time difference)- so everyone jumped on a Zoom at 10am Florida time for Mimosas in the US & Happy hour in Romania and toasted to crushing their goal.

Spigot, Inc. thinks it is extremely important to celebrate benchmarks, goals and wins and the last time the mobile team hit their goal, they even got a visit from Kevin the dog! Employee happiness is a huge contributing factor of success to our organization, and even during quarantine – we are still finding ways to keep morale high, encourage team building and celebrate big and small wins.

Spigot, Inc. is extremely fortunate to have the group of smart and motivated individuals dedicated to the growth of our company. We really appreciate our employees and their dedication – Spigot, Inc. is extremely excited to see what the next celebration has for us (Team trip anyone?!).

Need More Grocery Delivery Options During the Pandemic? Uber Grocery Delivery is Coming!

With a surge in Covid cases (especially Spigot, Inc.‘s home – Florida) it’s much less appealing to go to the grocery store and way more appealing to get groceries delivered. Unfortunately – everyone feels the same way so sometimes it’s tough to get a delivery. Good news came in today from Uber – they’re starting a delivery service too! Now you won’t just have to rely on instacart & Shipt! Uber hasn’t released it in the US yet, but it’s coming soon – AND Amazon also offers delivery through Whole Foods as another alternative.

According to an article in Cnet – Uber is  rolling out this new service in collaboration with the Chile-based grocery delivery startup Cornershop, which Uber bought a majority investment in last October. The acquisition has been approved by the Chilean authorities but is still pending regulatory approval in Mexico. “Our vision is of being a one-stop-shop for all of our customers on food occasions,” Raj Beri, Uber’s global head of grocery, said in a press call. “We want to make sure we’re able to get groceries to customers as conveniently and quickly as possible.”

Cnet also stated – While its rides business has plummeted, Uber said its restaurant delivery service Uber Eats has seen orders go up more than 100% since the same period last year. And in the more than 30 countries where Uber has been experimenting with grocery delivery, it said it’s seen a 176% increase in grocery orders since February. Cornershop said it’s now doing more than 1 million orders a month.

Spigot, Inc. Virtual Trivia Happy Hour = Big Success

Update: Week 6 on lock down – Spigot, Inc. is still working from home! If you follow our blog, you know that we frequently have parties, hang out with one another outside of the office, travel together and participate in team building events. We’ve decided to keep that going, but virtually! So last week – Spigot, Inc. put together a Spigot, Inc. Virtual Happy Hour for all employees to attend! We had a total of around 30 employees and 5 teams participate in the event. It was hosted through Zoom by Trivia Mafia – and was a BLAST! Not only was it fun to see one another in a group setting again, we got to compete – and there were even prizes at stake!

Trivia Mafia did a great job organizing the game. They helped us set up teams by using a Zoom registration. Once the teams were set up, we were all sent a Google forms document to fill in our answers. The host of the show read all 5 questions for the round, and then sent us off into Zoom “break-out” rooms to discuss our answers. We were given 5 minutes to submit our answers and then the host pulled us all back into the same room to let us trash talk (lol) – and read us the next set of questions.

The game was VERY close, and the questions were challenging – but fun! We will definitely be doing this again, and participating in their private online hosted events!

Spigot, Inc. really loves investing in their people – and creating a team and “fun” environment is one way we accomplish that. As we are in quarantine, we are continually looking for ways to promote comradery. This definitely won’t be our last “virtual” team event! Stay tuned to see what other fun things we’re up to!

Spigot, Inc. Wishes Megan Well!

Spigot, Inc. has an extremely unique culture in many different aspects – it’s part of our success and the main reason for our employee happiness and low turn-over. Hard work, dedication and risk taking really go along way here. One of our employees, Megan Wells is starting a new chapter of her life – and we all got to wish her well today! It is definitely a really cool story and a great example of the culture and mindset here at Spigot, Inc. so we thought we’d share!

Megan’s career at Spigot started when she was brought on as our admin to help with the day to day shenanigans. She graduated early from FGCU with an economics degree and had a desire to help out on the finance team. Megan took the initiative and sought a role on the finance team. Initially she lent a helping hand on some projects that the finance team had been working on and quickly proved her exemplary attention to detail and drive to learn (all while maintaining her other full time admin position).  In just 2 months Megan created a role for herself that didn’t even exist yet! In a very short time, she gained enough experience in the financial analyst realm to follow her dream of living in California and seek opportunities there. Her drive, passion, and fearless risk taking allotted her the opportunity to not only move to the team in which she desired, but help take her career to the next level.

We will miss Megan very much, but no matter what we know she is going to do great things!

If you want to be a part of a culture that really values their employees, has a ton of room for upward mobility and is just overall fun – Spigot, Inc. would love to talk to you!

Spigot, Inc. Lines Up for Free Lunch!

Spigot, Inc. posts a ton about our free lunches, but that’s because it’s such an amazing perk! With Cinco de Mayo right around the corner, todays lunch was a full taco bar from 3 Pepper Burrito – as soon as they arrived everyone piled into the kitchen to make their tacos. The customization bar consisted of hard taco shells, soft taco shells,  beef, chicken, pork, beans and rice, Spanish rice, guacamole, pico de gallo, cheese lettuce tomato, chips, salsa AND queso (Yes, we were all stuffed after, we need nap pods.)

Not only did we get to enjoy our delicious taco bar – we got to take full advantage of our brand new family style table and high top tables. The best part of catered lunches is our food all gets here at the same time and we all have the opportunity to eat together and mingle.
