Spigot Inc learned just after the Honest Ads Act was released that Twitter plans to show who is behind political ads and why you are being targeted. They are the first large platform to adopt this policy.
“We are committed to stricter policies and transparency around Issues based ads,” according to a statement from Twitter’s ads policy team. “There is currently no clear industry definition for Issues-based ads but we will work with our peer companies, other industry leaders, policy makers and ad partners to clearly define them quickly and integrate them into the new approach mentioned above.”
